Dashcam & Sentry Mode Viewer for Tesla
View your Tesla's dashcam and Sentry Mode footage on iPhone and Mac. Synced quad-view, telemetry overlay, and video export. Works with any USB drive reader or cloud storage.
Free to download. Premium features available.
Synchronized Quad-View
PREMIUMWatch all four cameras at once. Front, rear, left, and right feeds stay in sync as you scrub through the timeline. Tap any view to expand it.
Frame-Perfect Sync
All four feeds advance together. No drift, no manual alignment.
Tap to Expand
Tap any camera to focus on it while keeping the others visible.
Continuous Playback
Plays across clip boundaries automatically. No interruptions.
Hardware Accelerated
Uses GPU decoding for smooth 4-stream playback.
Telemetry Overlay
PREMIUMTesla embeds vehicle data in dashcam recordings. Sentinel reads it and displays speed, steering angle, pedal inputs, and more while you watch.
Speed
MPH or km/h, synced to the video timeline.
Steering Angle
Shows steering wheel position throughout the clip.
Pedal Inputs
Brake and accelerator position visualization.
G-Force Indicator
Real-time acceleration showing lateral and longitudinal forces.
Turn Signals
Shows active blinkers and hazard light status.
Gear Position
Displays current gear (P/D/R/N) in real-time.
Mini Map
GPS position and vehicle heading on a compact map.
Autopilot Detection
Shows when Autopilot was engaged during the clip.
Telemetry data is only needed for the HUD overlay—all videos play fine without it. Telemetry requires firmware 2025.44.25+ on HW3+. Sentry clips may have limited data since sensors sleep when parked.
Video Export
PREMIUMExport clips in 4K or 1080p. Burn telemetry data into the video, export single views or the full quad layout. Useful for insurance claims or just sharing interesting footage.
4K or 1080p
Full resolution at 35 Mbps, or smaller 1080p files.
Telemetry Burn-In
Overlay speed, steering, etc. directly into the exported video.
Single or Quad Layout
Export one camera or all four in a grid.
Watermark-Free
Premium removes the 'Exported with Sentinel' watermark.
Native iOS App
Built with SwiftUI and AVFoundation. Hardware-accelerated video decoding and encoding. Runs on iPhone (iOS 26+) and Mac (Apple Silicon).

What works without telemetry:
Everything except the telemetry HUD. Video playback, quad-view, timeline scrubbing, event organization, map features, and video export all work with any Tesla dashcam footage regardless of firmware version.

Frequently Asked Questions
Sentinel reads the standard folder structures created by Tesla vehicles: SentryClips, RecentClips, and SavedClips. Each event folder contains MP4 files from the front, rear, left repeater, and right repeater cameras. Simply point it at your USB drive or transferred footage folder.
You need a way to access your Tesla's USB drive from your iPhone. This typically means a USB-C drive reader or transferring footage via iCloud Drive or another cloud service. Sentinel works with footage stored anywhere your device can access through the Files app.
No. Sentinel processes all footage locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to any server. Your dashcam recordings, location data, and telemetry information remain entirely under your control.
Tesla began embedding telemetry data in dashcam footage with firmware version 2025.44.25 on Hardware 3 and newer vehicles. Older firmware or Hardware 2 vehicles record video without this data. Sentry Mode recordings may also have limited telemetry as sensors enter sleep mode when parked.
Usually not, or only partially. When your Tesla is parked in Sentry Mode, vehicle sensors enter a low-power sleep state. Sentry recordings typically capture video but may not include speed, steering, or other telemetry data. Video playback and export work normally regardless.
Sentinel works with footage from any Tesla vehicle equipped with the dashcam feature, including Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y, and Cybertruck. Telemetry availability depends on your vehicle's hardware generation and firmware version.
Common methods include: USB-C drive reader to connect your Tesla's USB drive directly, cloud transfer via iCloud Drive or Dropbox, or wireless drives that create their own WiFi network. Sentinel can read footage from any location accessible through the iOS Files app.
