How do I access my Tesla footage on iPhone?

Use a USB-C drive reader to connect your Tesla's USB drive directly to your iPhone, or transfer footage via iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or Dropbox. Sentinel can access footage from anywhere the iOS Files app can reach.

Why don't I see telemetry data on some clips?

Telemetry data requires Tesla firmware 2025.44.25 or later on Hardware 3+ vehicles. Sentry Mode recordings (while parked) often have limited telemetry because vehicle sensors sleep to conserve battery. Video playback works regardless.

What file types does Sentinel export?

Sentinel exports in MP4 format (H.264 codec), which is widely compatible with most devices, video editors, and platforms. You can choose between 1080p HD and 4K UHD resolution.

Is my footage uploaded anywhere?

No. Sentinel processes all footage locally on your device. Nothing is ever uploaded to our servers. Your data remains entirely under your control.
